A Decade of Growth

Approaching our 11th year in business, Benson Accountants is expanding north of the border for the first time. Founded in 2014 in Wigton, the firm has gone from strength to strength over the past decade. After a period of remarkable growth, tripling our turnover in recent years, we have decided to open an office to support our ever-growing number of clients in Scotland.

This move is a natural extension of our ethos: delivering a highly personal service through a skilled and experienced team. We are confident that the time is right to bring our unique service culture to Scotland and expand our reach. Our new office will be based in Perth, next to Agricar Ltd at Huntingtower.

Leadership and Expertise

Our Perth office will be headed up by Stuart Kerr. With over 27 years of accounting and audit experience in an Edinburgh practice, Stuart brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the role. He will work closely with Euan McLeod, who was previously the office managing partner at Johnston Carmichael’s Perth office, to ensure that our core values - excellent service, great communication, and proactive advice - continue to set us apart.

Strengthening Our Services

Heading up the accounts production is Alison Mackenzie. Alison has worked in accountancy and finance, predominantly within the farming and estates sector, since 1996. Her extensive knowledge of the region and the agricultural industry is already proving to be a huge asset. With expertise in Sage, Xero, and other accounting software, Alison enhances the already highly skilled team and expands the range of services available from our Perth office. She was drawn to Benson Accountants by our passion for delivering excellent customer service in a straightforward, client-centered way and is excited about the opportunities ahead.

Looking Ahead

This expansion represents a major turning point for Bensons, allowing us to strengthen our presence and extend our reach to better serve both existing and new clients. We have been working hard to ensure the office is fully equipped and aligned with our brand identity, including the installation of new signage and the development of targeted marketing materials.
